Basic info
Dungeons represent the game’s main PVE challenge. They are dangerous, enclosed locations. Players venture into dungeons to obtain rare resources, magic scrolls for learning spells, enchantment scrolls, runes, unique items dropped by bosses, and XP.
Generation
Each time you enter a dungeon, a new layout is generated based on a random number seed, meaning you’ll never encounter two identical maps. The placement of platforms, the height of obstacles, the positions of chests and the placement of monsters all vary.
Structure
It consists of a series of 5–7 interconnected rooms.
Entrance Crypt: A safe zone where the player appears at the start.
Combat Crypts: Common monsters await here; crystals required for enchanting may appear. Each has a 50% chance of containing 1 chest.
Goblin’s Chamber: A rare safe crypt with no enemies. The chance of encountering it is approximately 16.7 per cent.
Boss Chamber: The final arena featuring the boss of the dungeon. Behind the boss, there are always 2 chests containing loot and an exit from the dungeon.
Difficulty Scaling
Monsters become tougher with each successive crypt
Monster HP: Increases by 6% to 12% with each crypt (depending on the dungeon type).
Monster damage: Increases by 4% to 12% with each subsequent crypt.
Monster equipment: In later crypts, monsters may appear in armour or with advanced weapons that boost their strength and defence.
Playing in a group
Group size: The dungeon can be completed solo or in a group of up to 4 players.
Health scaling: For each additional player in the group, monsters and bosses have 60% more health (e.g. with 4 players, monsters have +180% more HP).
Shared combat, individual loot: Players fight together and help one another, but the contents of loot chests are independent for each player.
Mining and crystals
The walls, ceilings and floors of dungeons cannot be dug through or destroyed.
Crystals are the only resource that can be mined in dungeons; they protrude from walls, ceilings and floors, and are randomly generated in dungeons in quantities of 0–3. They are a key resource for the Blacksmith at the castle, used to apply and upgrade enchantments on tools, weapons and armour.
Chests and unlocking them
Each party member can open any chest independently.
Unlocking minigame: Before obtaining loot, each player must first complete a lock-picking minigame. When a player is playing alone, the game pauses until the minigame is completed. If they are in a party, the game continues.
Possible chest contents:
Common resources: 1 guaranteed type of resource (coal, metals, dungeon-specific resources) + a 30% chance of a second, different type.
Rare finds: Independent chances of diamonds and magic scrolls.
Enchantment scrolls: Increase the power of swords, armour defence, mining speed, etc.
Spell scrolls: Used to unlock powerful active spells at the Skillmaster.
Dungeon-specific runes: Rare spell modifications that can be applied at the Skillmaster.
Goblin Merchant
Items offered by the goblin:
Crystal (1x): 12 gold coins
Ruby (1x): 3x diamonds
Magic Scroll (1x): 45 gold coins
Dice (buy-back): 5x dice for 1 gold coin
Coloured cloaks (red / blue / green): 60 gold coins each
Death and leaving the dungeon
If you die in the dungeon, you will respawn back at the castle. You will not lose any items you have collected or any XP.
You can leave the dungeon by successfully defeating the boss or by falling in battle.
